Oversized
Freight Delivery
Freight carriers provide different levels of service for oversized items. All products being shipped via our freight carrier will be shipped using "Threshold" delivery. The product will be delivered to your door or the nearest ground-level entrance of your residence. Signature required upon delivery. Other levels of service known as "White Glove Delivery" are available for an additional charge. Oversized (in stock) items usually leave our warehouse within 2-5 business days, and are normally delivered within 2 to 4 weeks from the order date. These items are shipped via freight carrier directly to your shipping address. We are unable to ship oversized items to rural routes, remote areas not in close proximity to areas commonly serviced by freight carriers, APO/FPO addresses, P.O. Boxes, Alaska and Hawaii. We offer FREE SHIPPING on all our oversized items. Regular Sized Delivery All regular sized items are shipped via FedEx or UPS, and usually leave our warehouse within 2-5 business days. The product will be delivered to your door or the nearest ground-level entrance of your residence. Signature is not requested upon delivery. Please inspect all items immediately and contact us within 24 hours if there is any damage or missing pieces to an item. A refund or replacement(s) for damaged or missing pieces will be sent at no charge. Regular sized (in stock) items are normally delivered within 7-10 days from the order date. These items are shipped via FedEx or UPS directly to your shipping address. We are unable to ship these items to rural routes, remote areas not in close proximity to areas commonly serviced by these carriers, APO/FPO addresses, P.O. Boxes, Alaska and Hawaii. We offer FREE SHIPPING on all our items. Important Oversized Freight Delivery Information The freight carrier will contact you 24-48 hours prior to delivery to arrange a delivery time. The phone number used to contact you will be the phone number provided during checkout. Available delivery times will vary depending on the freight carrier’s schedule. Before signing the carrier’s delivery receipt please inspect the carton for any damage; crushing, dents, creasing, etc., and note this on the delivery receipt. Once you sign the delivery receipt and accept the shipment the driver will depart and it will be your responsibility to unpack the item. The driver is not required to wait for you to un-wrap the item and inspect it unless there is visible damage to the package. If, during delivery, it is obvious that there is damage, you may ask the driver to open the carton and inspect the contents with you. Upon inspection, if damage is found you may refuse the shipment and write, "Refused, due to damage" on the delivery receipt. Be sure to keep a copy of the delivery receipt with your damage notations and contact sales@garbocontemporaryfurniture.com immediately. After accepting delivery, please keep all packaging materials for 30 days in case you discover damage or defects after delivery. Oversized items will be delivered only to the nearest ground-level entrance of your home or business. Exceptions include apartments and unusual driveways. Most freight carriers will carry your item into a specific room or up stairs for an additional fee. For more information, please review our "Oversized White Glove Delivery" below. *Additional fees will apply for the following: Refused Delivery: If you refuse or return a non-defective or undamaged item, you will be responsible for roundtrip (outbound and inbound) shipping costs. Shipping fees range anywhere from $100 to $450, depending on the size and weight of the item. Some items may also incur a restocking fee of 17% of the item’s price. Return shipping fees can be paid directly to the freight carrier in advance. If not paid in advance, your return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund after the item is received at our warehouse. Refer to our return policy. Time Definite Fee: Our freight carrier’s will do their best to arrange a convenient delivery time with you. If you need to request a specific delivery time outside their normal business hours, a “Time Definite” fee quoted on a per shipment basis may apply. Available delivery times are made solely at the freight carrier’s discretion, and certain days and times may not be available in all areas. Stair Carry/Extra Labor Fee: If you would like your item carried inside your residence or up any flights of stairs, extra fees may apply. Residences or businesses that have steep uphill or downhill slopes leading to the entryway may also be charged additional fees. These fees usually range from $25 to $50 and are negotiated with and paid directly to the driver making the delivery. These extra delivery options are not available in all areas. Oversized White Glove Delivery: Oversized items can be delivered with "White Glove" service. White Glove service includes inside placement up to two flights of stairs, unpacking of items, debris removal, and limited set up of product (15 minutes, no use of tools). The freight carrier will schedule your White Glove delivery appointment for a 4-hour window generally between 9 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday. Depending on the carrier, you may be able to request additional services. Carriers may charge for additional services you request. NOTE: Thoroughly inspect the assembled product before signing for the delivery. Make clear notes of any damage, blemish, or defect on the delivery paperwork and refuse the delivery. Signing for a White Glove delivery without noting any problems on the delivery paperwork indicates the product was in good condition upon assembly.
